Philias Cormier St. Joseph (Special) -
The death of Philias Cormier of Little Dover Road occurred suddenly at Dr. Georges L-Dumont Hospital Thursday morning at the age of 72. Born at Memramcook, he was a son of the late Patrice and Marguerite (Leger) Cormier. He retired in 1965 from the CNR where he had been employed as a tinsmith. He is survived by his wife, the former Edna LeBlanc; four daughters, Mrs. Adeodat Gaudet (Rose Marie) of Memramcook West, Mrs. Edgar Landry (Marguerite) of Memramcook East, Mrs. Ronald Cormier (Geraldine) and Mrs. Roger LeBlanc (Lauda), both of Belliveau Village; three sons, Leo Paul of Upper Dover, Alfred of Quebec and Roger of Pre d'En Haut; three brothers, Vital, Herve and Adrian, all of Memramcook West; two sisters, Sister Evaline Cormier of the Congregation of Holy Family in Sherbrooke, Quebec and Mrs. Aurele Dupuis (Alice) of Moncton and 26 grandchildren. The body is at Dupuis funeral home with funeral service Saturday at 4:00 p.m. from Notre Dame de l'Annunciation Church in Pre d'En Haut. Interment will be in the family lot in the parish cemetery.
