U. Vautour Shediac (Special) -
The death of Ulric Vautour of Lower Cape Pele occurred Friday at Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 70. Born in Lower Cap Pele, he was a son of the late Phillip and Anna (Cormier) Vautour. He was a retired fisherman and attended Cap Pele Roman Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Donethilde Cormier, six daughters, Mrs. Alcide Duguay (Geneva) of Leger Brook, Mrs. Leandre Brun (Juliette) and Mrs. Clovis Brun (Victoria), both of Barachois, Mrs. Rene Melnason (Camila) of Cap Pele, Mrs. Ronnie LeBlanc (Theraise) of Kitchener, Ont., and Mrs. Adolphe Duguay (Marie Jeanne) of Shemogue; four sons, Aurele, Azor, Camille, and Emery, all of Cap Pele; nine sisters, Mrs. Patrick Jacob (Elise), Mrs. Albanie Cormier (Adeline), Mrs. Aime Cormier (Osite), Mrs. Valmont Richard (Evelyn), Mrs. Judge Gaudet (Claudia), Mrs. Nazaire Cormier (Marie), all of Cap Pele; Mrs. Freddie Brun (Andrea) of Caissie Cape, Mrs. Henri Leger (Delia), of Upper Aboujagane, and Mrs. Leo Goguen (Jacqueline) of the United States; six brothers, Albert of Kitchener, Ont., Clovis, Leandre, Olivier, Leoda, and Renne, all of Cape Pele; 56 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, Shediac. The funeral will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Cap Pele Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Parish cemetery.
