EDWARD LEGER DIES AT 82 SHEDIAC (Special) -
The death of Edward Leger, 82, of Sackville street, Shediac, occurred early Thursday morning following a lengthy illness. He had been employed as a carman with the Canadian Natlonal Railways for 23 years, retiring in 1940. Surviving are his wife, the former Mrs. Margaret Gauthier; four daughters, Mrs. Alfred Melanson, Dover, Del., Mrs. Aurele Gauvin, Upper Dover, N.B., Mrs. Leo Leger, Toronto, and Sister Mary Geraldine, Grand Digue; four sons, Emile and Gerald, Moncton, Alba and Henry, Ludlow, Mass.; one brother, Gus, Lewisville; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Gauvin, Moncton and Mrs. Alphee Comeau, Shediac. Several grandchildren and some great-grandchildren also survive. The body is resting in Richard's funeral home, Shediac, with funeral to be held Saturday Morning at 9.00 in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
