Josaphat Cormier Buctouche, Dec. 23 -
The death occurred at St. Thomas, Kent County, recently, of Josaphat Cormier, sixteen years old son of Arcade and Marguerite (Arsenault) Cormier, of that place. He leaves to mourn his father and mother, two brothers, Henry, at home, and Donat Cormier, of Gardner, Mass., and seven sisters, Mrs. Edmund Maillet (Anne) of St. Thomas, Mrs. Emile Leger (Leonise), Mrs. Clarience Ouellet (Edmee), Mrs. Firmin Devarenne (Lydia) and the Misses Alma, Emilienne and Lucy Cormier, all of Waltham, Mass. The funeral took place at St. John the Baptist Church, Buctouche, and was attended by many relatives and friends. A solemn high mass of requiem was sung by Rev. Father H.D. Cormier, pastor of L'Assomption Church, Moncton, uncle of the deceased. The deacon was rev. Father Emile Ouellet of Buctouche, and the sub-deacon Rev. Father H.L. Belliveau, of Ste. Anne de Kent. Teh pallbeares were Henry Cormier, brother, Edmond Robichaud, Hilaire Pellerin, Emile Pellerin, cousins, Fred leger and Alyre Maillet.
