Mr. Roger J. Léger, 78, of York Street, Moncton passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2003 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Edmunston, N.B., October 9, 1924, he was the son of the late Napoléon Léger and the late Laura Haley. Prior to his retirement, he was an electrician with C.N.R. for 41 years. Roger is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Belliveau) Léger; two daughters, Claudette Geldart (Clarence) of Moncton, Janice Blake (Michael) of Waterloo, ON.; three sons, Donald (Catherine) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Bob (Linda) of Dieppe, Terry (Shirley) of Saint-Antoine; a sister, Sr. Jeannette Léger, hospitalières Saint Joseph, Campbellton; 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers, Georges, Paul and James Léger and five sisters, Esther, Marguerite, Elmire, Elaine and Catherine. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 88 Church Street, Moncton (8581900) with visitation on Monday from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Tuesday from 1p.m. until time of departure 1:45p.m. The funeral Mass will be held at 2p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at Christ Roi Roman Catholic Church, Moncton. Interment in Our lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. Donations may be made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation or to a memorial of the donor's choice.
