P. Leger Buctouche (Special) -
The death of Philip Leger of Ste. Anne occurred Wednesday at Moncton Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 70. Born in Cap Pele, he was a son of the late Calixte and Eugene (Gagnon) Leger. He is survived by his wife, the former Emerise Belliveau; four sons, Aldei, Leominster, Mass.; Roger and Valmond, both of Moncton; Raymond, Ste. Anne; two daughters, Mrs. Paul LeBlanc (Florence), Hartford, Conn.; Mrs. Bertain Hebert (Phyllis), Cocagne; two brothers, Raymond, Amherst, N.S.; Alphonse, Cap Pele; two sisters, Mrs. Joe Cormier (Mathilde), Port Elgin; Mrs. Alex Comeau (Ida), Amherst, N.S.; and eight grandchildren. The body is resting at the slumber room of the Roman Cathoic Church in Ste. Anne where funeral mass will be Saturday at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in the parish vault to await burial in the parish cemetery in the spring.
