Mother of Bishop Dies at Age 79 Shediac (Special) -
Mrs. Alphee LeBlanc of Barachois died Tuesday at Hotel Dieu in Moncton after a brief illness. Mrs. LeBlanc the former Zelica Leger, was the daughter of the late Andre and Delphine Leger and was born in Barachois 79 years ago. She and her husband celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last November. Mrs. LeBlanc was in religion a Roman Catholic and was the mother of Most Rev. Camille LeBlanc, bishop of Bathurst. A daughter, Sister Marie-Camille, is superior of the convent of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Cocagne. Other survivors include her husband, three sons, Edgar of Toronto, Eric and Aristride of Robichaud Office; two daughters, Miss Simone and Mrs. Charles Doiron (Mathilde), Barachois. Fourteen grandchildern also survive. The body is resting at Richard's funeral home in Shediac and will be taken to her home in Barachois this morning. The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 from St. Henry's Roman Catholic Church in Barachois. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
