Rexton-Mrs. Cordelia Murphy, 78, of Lion's Seniors Apartment, Rexton, passed away at her residence on Thursday, January 11, 1996, after a brief illness.
Born in South Branch, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary (McDonald) Hudson. She attended St-Peter's Roman Catholic Church, South Branch. She was a member of the Catholic Women's League.
She is survived by one daughter, Emily of Moncton; four sons, Leo and his wife Merrillyn of Balla Phillip, Roy and his wife Karen of East Galloway, Kenny and his wife Venerance of Rexton, Murray of Balla Phillip; six grandchildren, James, Kevin, Dwayne, Taralea, Vanessa, James; four great grandchildren, Josh, Christopher, Shawn, Katelyn; five sisters, Mildred Savoy of Rexton, Lucretia McLaughlin of Rexton (with whom she resided), Ernestine Pinet of Rexton, Frances Pinet of Rexton, Emily Walls of Plaster Rock; two brothers, Charlie of South Branch, Tommy of Rexton; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James P. Murphy; two sons, Jackie and Wayne; three sisters, Bessie, Mamie, Anita.
Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto with visiting hours on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral. Funeral mass will be held at St-Peter's Roman Catholic Church, South Branch on Saturday, January 13, 1996 at 11 a.m. with father Savio Mazerolle officiating. Interment in St-Peter's Catholic Church Cemetery in the spring.
