Mrs. Medaline Surette -
The death of Mrs. Medaline Surette, widow of Armand Surette, of St. Anthony, Kent County, occurred Friday at Moncton Hospital following a brief illness. She was 90. Born at St. Mary, Kent County, she was a daughter of the late Damien and Osite (LeBlanc) Cormier. Her husband died in 1945. She is survived by two sons, Aquila and Omer, both of St. Anthony; two step-daughters, Mrs. Sam LeBlanc (Laudia) and Mrs. Joseph P. Leger (Lorette), both of St. Anthony and one Step son, Jean Baptiste of Moncton. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, 88 Church Street, Moncton. Funeral mass will be celebrated Sunday at 3 p.m. at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will be in the parish cemetery vault, to await burial in the spring.
