P. Leger Shediac (Special) -
Philias Leger, 76, of Residence Chez-Nous, Shediac, and formerly of Cormier Village, died Tuesday at Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Cormier Village, he was a son of the late Placide and Annie (Richard) Leger. Retired, he worked as a carpenter with Parsons Constuction, Timmins, Ont., until 1972 and attended St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Belliveau (Edmee) of Timmins, Ont., Miss Nathalie Leger of Toronto and Mrs. Gonzague Landry (Julienne) of Dupuis Corner; and two brothers, Fred and Napoleon, both of Cormier Village. The body is at Frenette's Funeral Home, Shediac. Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
