Mrs Peter Chabot Shediac, Aug 10 -
Mrs, Chabot, widow of Peter Chabot, died recently at Rumford, Maine, aged 74 years. Mrs. Chabot was formerly Miss Olympe Gallant, of Barachois, near Shediac. She leaves to mourn a daughter, Mrs. Corine Gautreau, of Rumford; two brothers, Philip Gallant, of Barachois and Hypolite Gallant, of Sandford, Maine; two sisters, Mrs. Marguerite Bourque, of Bangor, Maine; and Mrs. Justine Legere of Fitchburg, Mass. Many friends and relatives attended the funeral at the church of St. John the Baptiste, Rumford. A Solemn high mass of requiem was sung by the pastor, Rev. Father Boivin; Rev. Father Bouthot was deacon and Rev. Father Parent, sub-deacon. The pallbearers were Fortunat Chabot, Levi Chabot, John T. Gallant, Tilmon J. Legere and Joseph Vallee. Burial was in the church cemetery, Rumford.
