Fall River - Laurenna P. "Dolly" (Jean) Leger, 86, of Leger Lane, Tiverton, died Monday, Sept. 22, 1997, at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the widow of Albert A. "Abie" Leger and daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Anna (Smith) Jean.
Born in Fall River, she lived in Fall River for many years and in Tiverton most of her life.
Mrs. Leger and her late husband operated the former Leger's Chicken Farm in Tiverton for many years.
She was formerly employed by the former Highway Casino, Westport, The Fo'c's'le Restaurant, Little Compton, and Avon Curtain Manufacturing, Fall River.
She was a communicant of St. Theresa Church, a member of St. Theresa's Senior Citizens Club and a former member of Stafford Pond Protective Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Heatherly of Elk Grove, Calif; a son, Donald E. Leger Sr. of Tiverton; a brother, Joseph Jean Sr of Fall River; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-frandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Claudette Terceira, Rosario "Jack" Jean and Dora Morin Lavoie.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Theresa Church, Stafford Road, Tiverton.
Arrangements are by the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S. Main St.
