Vital Léger
1912 - 2005
SHEDIAC, NB - Vital Léger, 92, of the Villa Providence Home, Shediac and formerly of Haute-Aboujagane passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2005 at the Villa Providence. Born December 24, 1912 in Haute Aboujagane, he was the son of the late Frank Léger and the late Josephine Richard. He was a retired farmer and a past member of the Golden Age Club in Haute-Aboujagane. He is survived by three daughters, Andréa Chevarie (Edward) of Cormier Village, Annette Cormier (Ulysse) of Bas Cap-Pelé, Marie Melanson (Arthur) of Moncton; five sons, Ubald (Huberte "Betty"), Gilles (Rita), Jean (Diane), and Oscar (Rosaline) all of Haute-Aboujagane, Clarice (Albertine) of Cap-Pelé; two sisters, Marceline Sears and Flora St. Pierre both of Shediac; three brothers, Alphonse (Florida) and Léo (Bella) all of Haute-Aboujagane, Yvon (Juliette) of Cap-Pelé; 22 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Irène (Léger) Léger (1993); one sister, Justine Landry; and two brothers, Pacifique and Romuald Léger. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main Street, Shediac (5323297) on Sunday, June 26, from 7 to 9p.m., Monday, June 27 from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Tuesday, June 28, from 10a.m. until time of departure at 10:10a.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at the Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church in Haute-Aboujagane.
