The family announces with sorrow his death, Monday, October 21, 2002 in Sudbury, at the age of 57 years. Son of Roméo Savoie of Hanmer and of the late Eugénie Savoie née Robichaud. Beloved husband of Claudette Savoie née Dubeau of Hanmer. Loving father of Dianne Gervais husband Ghislain of Manitouwadge, Nicole Tardif husband Marc of Hanmer and André wife Lisa of London. Dear brother of Victorin wife Micheline of Repentigny, Raymond wife Lilliane, Edmonde Brière husband Jacques, Adrien wife Diane, François wife Lucie, Adelard wife Anne and Jacques wife Carole all of Hanmer, Anita Molnar husband Leslie predeceased and Claudette Armour husband Don both of Ottawa, Albertine Ball husband Dan and Albert both of Sudbury, Lise Scruton of Hamilton, Vivianne Dupuis of Stoney Creek and Gilles wife Marthe of Cantley, Quebec. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Chantale, Ghislaine, Stphan, Mélanie, Gabrielle and Stephanie, and by his great-grandchildren Emily, Jessi, Joni, Amy, Justin and Jeremy. Mr. Savoie was a C.N.R. engineer. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4570 St Joseph St., Hanmer, Wednesday from 2-5 pm and from 7-9:30 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, October 24, 2002 at 11 am in St. Jacques Church, Hanmer. Donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated.
