Gertrude Cormier, 64, widow of the late Aquila Cormier (1995), of Manoir Notre-Dame Moncton, NB, passed away at Manoir Notre-Dame, Moncton, NB on Thursday, October 16, 2003 after a lengthy illness. Born in Moncton, NB on July 22, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Alban Hébert and the late Lucie Fougère. She was a teacher. She attended SaintJean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and fostered children and a family from different areas. She is survived by four daughters, Noella Cormier (Denis Léger) of SaintAntoine, Joanne Cormier (Serge Boudreau) of Memramcook, Odette Cormier (Gilles Després) of Bouctouche, Melissa Cormier (Jason Hickey) of Moncton; two sons, Paul Cormier (Nancy) of Bouctouche, Albert Cormier (Dexter Schedler) of Moncton; one brother, Gerry "Hop" Hébert (Ginette Thibodeau) of Shediac; six grandchildren, Shaun, Jamie, Jennifer, Kayla, Courtney, Cole; several nephews and nieces. Predeceased by one sister, Yvonne. Resting at Maillet Funeral Home Ltd. , Bouctouche with visitation on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 to 10:45 am. The funeral service will be held at SaintJean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at 11:00 am. Interment to take place in the Parish Cemetery.
