DOMINIQUE LEGER
1918 - 2001
Mr. Dominique Leger, 82, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2001 at The Moncton Hospital.
Born in Grande Digue, NB, he was the son of the late Léonel and the late Ozélie (nee: Robichaud) Leger. Mr. Leger was a retired businessman, having owned Modern Furniture Co. Ltd., Dieppe. He was a founding member of la Société Historique Acadienne, and also a member of l'Association Acadienne et Francophone Des Aînées et Aînés du NB. He was a parishioner of Christ Roi Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, as well as a member of le Club d'Age d'Or Christ Roi.
He is survived by his wife, Rita (nee:LeBlanc); four sisters, Rosia Léger of Dieppe, Rita Goguen, of Grande Digue, Maria (Remi) Haché of Kitchener, ON, and Thérèse (Mario) Devona of Toronto, ON; two brothers, Laurie (Vada) Leger of Dieppe, and Lionel (Dorothy) Leger of Fredericton, NB; as well as nieces and nephews; He is also survived by a 'little sister', Rachelle Caissie, who he met 19 years ago through the "Big Brothers - Big Sisters Association". Mr. Leger was predeceased by four sisters; Elodie, Ozélie, Yvonne and Corinne, and also by four brothers; Camille, Léonel, Edgar and Roger.
No Visitation. Funeral Mass will be celbebrated from Christ Roi Roman Cathlic Church, Moncton, on Monday, May 14, 2001 at 11 o'clock. Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
