Martin Gallant
Mr. Martin Gallant, 85, husband of Alfreda (Leger) Galiant, of Foyer Myosotiste Cocagne, NB passed away at the residence on Wednesday, June 27, 2001 after a brief illness. Born November 12. 1915 in Hunter River, PEI, he was a son of the late Joseph Gallant and the late Fustina Gallant. He was a Second Engineer with 25 years service and attended Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church of Cocagne, NB.
He is survived by his wife, Alfreda (Leger) Gallant; daughter, Anne Melanson (Alvin) of Bouctouche; son, Ronald (Dora) of Dartmouth, NS; four sisters, Mary Rogers (Howard), Kathleen Hirdie, Lucy Doiron (Wiifred), all of Ontario, Melina Pineau of Hope River, PEI; three brothers, Johnny (Rita) of Cocagne, Albert (Rita) of North Rustico, PEI, Vincent (Lina) of Oyster Bed Bridge, PE1; four grandchildren, David, Debbie, Jason, Mathieu; one great grandson, Robert. He was predeceased by three sisters, Margarite, Sophie, Eva; and one brother, Amos.
Resting at Maillet Funeral Home Ltd on Thursday with visiting from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm and on Friday at Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne with visiting from 2 to 3:50pm. The funeral service will take place at Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church, Cocagne, NB on Friday, June 29, 2001 at 4:00pm. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery.
