MONCTON - Emma Girouard 83, of Manoir Notre Dame, Moncton, passed away Friday, January 10, 1997 at the Dr. G. L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born in Ste. Marie de Kent, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Philippe and the late Elise (Melanson) Leger. She is survived by her husband, Isidore Girouard, of Villa du Repos, Moncton; two sons, Vincent (Mabel) of Bathurst. Paul (Rose-Marie) of Dieppe; one daughter, Norma (Jean) Doucet of Saint John; two sisters, Odila Nowlan of Ste. Marie, Jeannine Richard of Dieppe; six brothers,. Yvon (Stella), Leonide (Rita), Emile (Gerene), all of Moncton, Paul (Rita) of Cape Cod, Mass., Antoine (Vivian) of Dieppe and Leo (Eva) of Little Britain, Ont.; eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and also by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Girouard was predeceased by two sisters, Marie and Anita; and by three brothers, Neri, Zoel and Auguste. Visitation was held at Chartersville Funeral Home on Sunday, January 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, January 13, at the parish salon in Ste. Marie from 2 to 4 p.m. The funeral mass will be held from Notre-Dame-du-Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Ste. Marie de Kent on Monday, January 13, at 4 p.m. with interment in the Parish Cemetery.
