ST-ANTOINE DE KENT - Gerald Léger, 82, of Foyer St.-Antoine, St-Antoine de Kent passed away at his residence on Saturday, October 14, 1995 after a lengthy illness.
Born in Ste-Marie de Kent, he was the son of the late Alfred Léger and Regina (Allain) Léger. He was the owner and operator of an Esso Service Station in St-Antoine de Kent and Operator of an automotive supply and car dealership in Moncton for a period of 20 years. He attended St-Antoine l'Ermite Roman Catholic Church, St-Antoine, and was a member of St.-Antoine Golden Age Club and honorary member of the St-.Antoine Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife Cécile (Cormier) Léger of St-Antoine de Kent; three daughters, Mrs. Hector LeBlanc (Géraldine) of Hudson, Mass., Mrs. Gérard Saulnier (Gilberte) of Ste-Marie de Kent, Mrs. Ian MacDougall (Lise) of Moncton; three sons, Aldérice (Jeanne) of St-Antoine de Kent, Jean-Guy (Hectorine) of Grande-Digue, Georges (Mary) of Vancouver, B.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Noella Léger of Attelboro, Mass., USA, Mrs. Eddy Lambert (Marie) of Fitchburg, Mass., USA, Mrs. Bernard Devlon (Bertha)) of St. Stephen; five brothers, Zénon (Wilma) of Shediac Bridge, Elie (Marguerite) of Sun City, California, USA, Victor (Mélina) of St-Antoine de Kent, Désiré (Eva) of Notre-Dame de Kent, Roger (Marie) of Leominster, Mass., USA; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, Leonard in 1979 and Robert in 1953.
Rested at St-Antoine l'Ermite Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, St-Antoine de Kent with visiting hours on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 to 11 a.m. Funeral mass was held at St-Antoine l'Ermite Roman Catholic Church, St-Antoine de Kent on Monday, October 16, 1995 at 11 a.m. Interment in Parish Cemetery.
