Valentin Landry
Valentin Landry, 97, of Villa du Repos, Moncton and formerly of Shemogue, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 1995 at The Dr. Georges- L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton.
Born on May 23, 1898 in Cap Pele, he was the son of the late Stanislas and Elizabeth (LeBlanc) Landry. He was employed with Maritime Fish Packers until retirement. He attended St.Thimothée Roman Catholic Church, Shemogue. He was a member of the Golden Age Club in Shediac.
He is survived by four daughters, Lucille and Ernest LeBlanc of Moncton, Yvonne and Aurele Gould of Fredericton, Rita and Aquila Donelle of Moncton and Geraldine and Denis Owen of Moncton; one son, Robert and Yvette Landry of Moncton; one brother, William Landry of Pointe Bûte; 32 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Jeanne (Leger) Landry in 1987; two sons, Joseph in 1986 and Camille in 1990; three sisters and three brothers.
Resting at Shemogue Golden Age Club Hall, Shemogue with visiting hours on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Thimothée Roman Catholic Church, Shemogue on Saturday, November 11, 1995 at 11 a.m. Interment in Shemogue Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery.
