Héribert Léger
ST. JOSEPH (Special) — Heribert Leger, 67, of St. Joseph died Wednesday at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton.
Born in St. Joseph, he was a son of the late Lucien and Evangeline (LeBlanc) Leger and had been a stationary engineer with 40 years service at the former St. Joseph College prior to retirement. He attended St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, St. Joseph, and was a veteran of the Second World War and a member of Memramcook Branch 89, Royal Canadian Legion.
He is survived by his wife, the former Patricia Arsenault; a daughter, Janice of St. Joseph; two sons, Conrad and Denis, both of St. Joseph; two sisters, Mrs. Lydianne Leger of Apohaqui and Mrs. Edgar LeBlanc (Oliva) of St. Joseph; five brothers, Alban, Charles-Auguste and Joseph-Edouard, all of St. Joseph, Lorenzo of Moncton and Rev. Guy of Pre d'en Haut, and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Leonard, died Sunday. A second brother, Paul-Eudore, also died previously.
The body will be at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook, this evening. Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a memorial service Friday at 7 p.m.
