P.P. Donelle -
The death of Phillip P. Donelle (Downing) of Caissie Cape occurred Friday at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital, Moncton, after a lengthy illness. He was 78. Born in Caissie Cape, he was a son of the late Phillip and Azele (Brun) Downing. He was a retired fisherman and farmer and attended the Grande Digue Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Premilia Gallant; five daughters, Mrs. Aurele Cormier (Lorette) of Dorchester Crossing, Mrs. Paul Poirier (Lina) of Ayer, Mass., Mrs. Amand Poirier (Edna) of Shediac, Mrs. Emery Leger (Laudia), of Caissie Cape, Mrs. Leo Paul Gagnon (Alice) of Cap Pele; four sons, Alcide, Leo, both of Caissie Cape, Ouila, Telex, both of Ayer, Mass.; one sister, Mrs. Joseph Leger (Alice) of Grande Digue; 42 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, Shediac. The funeral mass will be celebrated Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Grande Digue Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Grande Digue Roman Catholic Cemetery.
