P. Cormier BARACHOIS (Special) -
The death of Philippe Cormier of RR No. 1. Barachois, occurred Monday at his residence following a brief illness. He was 79. Born in Upper Aboujagan, N. B., he was the son of the late Charles and Mathilde (Cormier) Cormier. He was a retired employee having spent 36 years in his occupation. He was also a member of the St. Henri Roman Catholic Church in Barachois. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Leonie (Doiron) Cormier, Barachois; two daughters, Mrs. Ola Boudreau (Laurida), Barachois and .Mrs. Emile Leger (Pauline), Robichaud Office; four sisters, Mrs. Lucienne Goguen, Notre Dame, Mrs. Frank Melanson (Marie), Sanford, Me., Mrs. Delima Belliveau, Montreal, and Mrs. Lizzie Boudreau, Moncton; three brothers, Amedee Cormier, Upper Aboujagan, Alexandre Cormier, Fitchburg, Mass. and Hennessey Cormier, Dieppe; one grandson, Robert Boudreau, with whom he resided as well as 12 other grandchildren. The body is resting in Frenette's Funeral Home, Shediac, with the funeral service to be held from St. Henri Roman Catholic Church, Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. The body will be placed in the vault in the parish cemetery to await intermnet in the spring.
