Rogersville (Special) - The death of Laurent Doiron of Rogersville occurred Sunday at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Chatham after a brief illness. He was 89. Born at Rogersville, he was a son of the late Charles and Melonie (Gallant) Doiron. He was a member of the St. Francois de Salle Roman Catholic Church, Rogersville. He is survived by nine sons, Ernest, Alphonse, Omer, Amos, all of Rogersville, Joseph of Buctouche, Euclide of Memramcook West, Laurie of CFB Bagotville, Que., Freddy and Donald Doiron, both of Massachucetts; four daughters, Mrs. Joseph Arsenault (Exelda) of Waltham, Mass., Mrs. Laurie LeBlanc (Doris) of Moncton, Mrs. Yvon Bourque (Rita), also of Rogersville; a brother, Joseph C. Doiron of Rogersville; three sisters, Mrs. Herman LeClair (Modeste) of Lawrence, Mass., Mrs. Adolph Leger (Judith) and Mrs. Henry Brien (Maggie), both of Portland, Maine; 63 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren. The body is resting at the slumber room, Rogersville Parish Hall. Mass will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Francois de Salle Roman Catholic Church, Rogersville, with entombment in the parish cemetery vault to await burial in the spring.
