CORMIER-VILLAGE, NB - Brigitte Cormier, 36, wife of Éric 'Spanky' Cormier, of Cormier-Village passed away Sunday, July 15, 2007 at The Moncton Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born June 25, 1971 in Moncton, she was the daughter of Rhéal and Murielle (Gaudet) Cormier of Cap-Pelé. A graduate of Université de Moncton, she was a teacher at Mgr. François Bourgeois School in Shediac for the past 10 years, and a member of the SEENB. Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by a son, Miguel (10) at home; a sister, Monique Légère (David) of Cap-Pelé; a brother, Mathieu (Natalie) of Dieppe; her maternal grandmother, Claudia Gaudet (late Jude) of Cap-Pelé; her parents-in-law, Edgar and Rose-Marie Cormier of Cormier-Village; a brother-in-law, Mathieu Cormier (Nadine) of Cap-Pelé; her godchildren, Martin and Jasmine Cormier, Justin Légère; nephew, Jason; niece, Josianne; also many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends. She is also predeceased by her paternal grand-parents, Camille and Delvina Cormier; uncle Arcade Gaudet. Resting at Funérarium Frenette, 2642, Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297). The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at Ste-Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap-Pelé. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. Memorial donations to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
