Aurèle Saulnier, 80 of Tenth Street, Moncton, passed away on Sunday, May, 5, 2002 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born in St-Antoine, he was the son of the late Vital Saulnier and Elia LeBlanc. A member of the Legion Branch # 6 Moncton, Aurèle was a veteran of World War II having served overseas with the Royal Canadian Army in France, Germany, England and Holland . Prior to his retirement he was a 25 year employee with Swift and then as a commissionaire with Supply Depot # 5 in Moncton. He will be sadly missed by his wife Eva (Daigle) Saulnier; a son Roger (Ginette) of Riverview; two daughters Ida Léger (Ronald) of Shediac, Sandra Saulnier (Arnold Christopher); two brothers William (Annette) of Dieppe, Victor (Albina) of Scoudouc; a sister Léona Melanson of Toronto; a half sister Lina LeBlanc of Enfeild Conn; five grand children, Renee, Jason, Travis, Christopher, Nicole; and by a great grand son Jeremy. He was predeceased by a brother Edgar and by a sister Marie Monroe. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) with no visitation. The funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at Christ-Roi Roman Catholic Church, Moncton. Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. www.frenettefuneralhome.com
