SAINT-ANTOINE DE KENT, NB - Léandre Léger, 83, husband of Lorraine (Léger) Léger, wife of 62 years, of Foyer Saint-Antoine and formerly of SaintAntoine passed away at Foyer SaintAntoine, Saint-Antoine de Kent, NB on Thursday, November 27, 2003 after a brief illness. Born in Saint-Antoine de Kent, NB on March 21, 1920 he was a son of the late Philippe Léger and the late Marie Goguen. He worked for Roy T. Bourque of Saint-Antoine for approximately 20 years and was a school bus driver. He attended Saint-Antoine L'Ermite Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Antoine. He was a volunteer fireman in Saint-Antoine from 1964-1979, and president of the Saint-Antoine Golden Age Club for numerous years. Survived by his wife, Lorraine (Léger) Léger; four daughters, Murielle Bastarache (Laurie) of Baie de Bouctouche, Gloria Cormier (Donald), Lucille Cormier (Donald), Simonne Maillet (Donald) all of Saint-Antoine; one son, Louis-Philippe (Marie) of SaintAntoine; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one daughter, Léa; four sisters, Florina, Dorilla, Eveline, Bella; five brothers, Edouard, Jos, Valerie, Laurie, Emile. Resting at Saint-Antoine l'Ermite Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Antoine with visitation on Sunday, November 30 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, Monday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Saint-Antoine L'Ermite Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Antoine on Monday, December 1, 2003 at 7:00 pm. Interment will take place in the Parish Cemetery.
