August Gautreau Dies at age 87 Shediac (Special) -
The death of August Gautreau occurred early Tuesday morning at his home here after a lingering illness. Born in Shediac he was 87 years of age. A carpenter by trade he spent his younger years in the United States, working on several large projects, returning home several years ago. Surviving besides his wife, the former Emma Belliveau, are two daughters, Irene, at home, and Mrs. Abel Boudreau, Barachois; eight sons, Joseph, Memramcook, Camille and Clarence, Moncton, Arthur, Hartford, Conn., Charles, Louis, Alderic and Henry, Shediac; two brothers, Albert and Andre, Shediac; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Leger, Moncton; 43 grandchildren and one great grandchild. The body is resting at his home, from where the funeral will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. to St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
