CAP-PELÉ, NB - Gérald N. Vautour, 93, of Cap-Pelé passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2003 at his residence. Born in Cap-Pelé, March 27, 1910, he was the son of the late Napoléon Vautour and the late Léonie Léger. He was a carpenter by trade and attended Ste. Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap-Pelé. He leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Florine (Melanson) Vautour; eight daughters and two sons, RoseAimée Doiron (Léandre) of Robichaud, Noëlla Vautour (Bernard) of TroisRuisseaux, Georgette LeBlanc ( Albert), Normand (Emilia), Lydia Cormier (France) and Thérèse Vautour (Régis) all of Cap-Pelé, Oscar (Simonne) of Ottawa, Alvida Tucker (Clayton) of Newfoundland, Géralda Richard (Julien) of Petit-Cap, Janice Petitpas (Francis) of Haute-Aboujagane; 21 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; one sister, Mélendé Cormier of Cap-Pelé and a daughter-in-law Noëlla Vautour of Cap-Pelé. He was predeceased by two brothers, Honoré, Aimé and three sisters, Baselice, Delvina and Aldéa. Resting at Funérarium Frenette, Cap-Pelé (577-3297) with visitation on Monday from 7 to 9p.m., Tuesday from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and on Wednesday from 10a.m. until time of departure at 10:50a.m. The funeral Mass will be held at 11a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at Ste. Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap-Pelé. Interment in the Parish Cemetery. In his memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Ass. of N. B.
