COCAGNE, NB - Emile Despres, 97, of Cocagne, NB passed away at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent, NB, Wednesday January 29, 2003 after a brief illness. Born in Cocagne, NB on January 31, 1905, he was the son of the late David Després and the late Vitaline Léger. He was a fisherman and farmer. He was a member of the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church, Cocagne, NB. He is survived by his three daughters, Lolita Bineau (André) of Montréal, Alcida Maillet (Raymond) of SaintThomas de Kent, Rose-Marie Boulay (Bertrand) of Montréal; one sister, Clarinda LeBlanc (Albert) of Dieppe; five grandchildren, Alain, Johanne, Ginette, Robert, Marc; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Eugénie Jaillet (1980); second wife, Josephine (Girouard) LeBlanc (1996); two sisters, Alice, Evangeline; two brothers, Ovila, Eric; one grandchild, Robert. Resting at Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne, with visitation Thursday, January 30 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Friday from 2:00 to 3:45 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church, Cocagne, NB on Friday, January 31, 2003 at 4:00 pm. Interment in the Parish Cemetery.
