Joseph A. Leger
POINTE DU CHENE - Joseph A. Leger, 85, of Second Avenue, Pointe du Chene, passed away at the Dr. Georges- L. Dumont Hospital on Thursday, November 9, 1995.
Born April 1, 1910 in Boudreau Office, he was the son of the late Edmond and Exelda Leger. He was a Carman for the C.N.R. until retirement. He attended Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Pointe du Chene. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Pointe du Chene. He was an honorary member of the C.N.R. War Vets, Shediac, and the Shediac Legion, Branch #33. A veteran, he served in World War II having served in Europe and New Brunswick.
He is survived by his wife, Anna May (Gallant} Leger; two daughters, Jean Boudreau and her husband Frank of Pointe du Chene, Barbara LeBlanc and her husband Guy of Shediac; four sons, Edgar and his wife Micheline of Pointe du Chene, Gerald and his wife Dorothy of Pointe du Chene, Richard and his wife Mathilde of Shediac, Donald and his wife Heather of Stouffville, Ont.; one daughter-in-law, Catherine Pellerin; one son-in-law, Lloyd Crossman; two sisters, Albertine Robichaud (Fred) and Oliva Leger, both of Shediac; 24 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by four brothers, Euclide, Yvon, Rudolph and Stanislas; two sisters, Jeanne and Geraldine.
Resting at Frenette's Funeral Home Ltd., Main Street, Shediac, (532-3297) with visiting hours on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Pointe du Chene, on Saturday, November 11, 1995 at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Shediac.
