Shediac - Stanislas Leger, 82, of Pleasant Street, Shediac, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Wednesday, October 18 1995 after a brief illness. Born November 20, 1912 in Shediac, he was the son of the late Edmond and Exelda Leger. He was a retired employee of Shell Oil in Toronto, Ont. He retired to Shediac in 1991. He attended St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Shediac. He graduated from Ste. Anne College in Nova Scotia. he was the first president of the Sacred Heart Church in Toronto, Ont. He was the Past-Treasurer and Secretary of the Caisse Populaire in Toronto, Ont. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Florence (LeBlanc) Leger; a devoted father to his three daughters, Francine (John) Belbin of Kingston, N.S., Cyrilla (Jim) Leonard of Dartmouth, N.S., Jacinthe (Kim) Topping of Barbados; two sisters, Albertine (Fred) Robichaud of Shediac, Oliva Leger of Shediac; one brother, Joseph and Maisie Leger of Pointe du chene: six grandchildren, Ginette, Ryan, Marc, David, Douglas and Brigette. He was predeceased by two sisters, Jeanne and Geraldine; three brothers, Yvon, Euclide and Rodolphe. Resting at Frenette's Funeral Home, Main Street, Shediac, (532-3297), with visiting hours on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac, on Saturday. October 21, 1995 at 9:30 a.m. Interment in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery Shediac.
