Mrs. Phillip Cormier Buctouche, July 24 -
Mrs. Phillip Cormier, of St. Gregoire, Near Buctouche, died recently after a long illness. Mrs. Cormier was highly esteemed. She was formerly Miss Rosalie Cormier and was a native of St. Gregoire. She leaves to mourn her husband, six adopted children, Mrs. Amedee Gosselin (Aurelie), Moncton; Mrs. Tilmon Cormier (Sara), Fox Creek; Leo Cormier, St. Gregoire; Henry Cormier, Gardner, Mass.; Odilon Cormier and Miss Edmee Cormier, both at home; three sisters, Miss Celina Cormier, St. Gregoire; Mrs. John Leger, Bathurst, and Mrs. Daniel Nowlan, St. Mary, Kent Co., and two brothers, Thaddee and Richard Cormier, both of St. Gregoire. The funeral at the Church of St. John the Baptist, Buctouche, was attended by many relatives and friends. A high mass of requiem was sung by the pastor, Rev. Father Phillip Hebert. The pallbearers were Henry Cormier, Leo Cormier, Odilon Cormier, Alfred Cormier, Hector Cormier and Edmund Cormier, all relatives. Interment was at St. John the Baptist cemetery. There were numerous spiritual remembrances.
