MARTIN, DORINE - After a courageous battle with cancer at her residence in West Saint John, NB on Wednesday, June 15th, 2005; Marie Dorine (Vautour) Linton - Martin. Born in Port Elgin she is the daughter of the late Dositee and Alice (Legere) Vautour. Dorine was predeceased by two husbands, Ronald William Linton and Joseph Albert Martin; son Ronald Linton; her brothers Allison, Samuel; sisters Claira Vautour, Armaline (Reid); and infant sister Theresa. Dorine is survived by daughter Alice Bissett (Paul) of West Saint John; brothers, John Vautour (Dorothy), Gilbert Vautour (Joan), all of Saint John, William (Billy) (Giselle) of Pokemouche, NB; sister-in-law Betty Vautour of Fredericton; grandchildren, Alison Guimond (Roger), Michael Bissett (Joanne), Tina Edmund (Dennis), Larry Bissett (Stacy), Sherry Carroll (Carvell), Wendy Johnson (Fred), Debbie Linton; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Dorine received her education at Burrough's Business College in Montreal, Quebec, returned to Saint John where she managed Peacock's Flowers for a number of years until opening Dorine's Flower Centre in the Lancaster Mall, September 4th, 1964. She pursued her passion of floral design in her Lancaster home for over 40 years. At Dorine's request her beloved flower shop will remain open to serve her community, friends and family, closing briefly Saturday from 9:00am until 1:00 pm for attending the service. Also at Dorine's request cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for a time of visitation on Thursday and Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June, 18th, 2005 at 10:00 am at St. Rose of Lima Church. The interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. In addition to floral tributes, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
