WILSON, D. Keith -
64, 12 Derby St., Amherst, died February 17, 1999, at home. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late William D. "Spark" and Katherine M. "Kitty" (Legere) Wilson. He taught school in Springhill, Dartmouth and Amherst and was principal and vice-principal of Springhill Junior High School. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, where he had served as past state secretary. He was also a member of the Lions Club, Allied Youth, the Nova Scotia Teachers' Union, the Heritage Club and Curling Club. He had worked for Frontier Collage in the West and with the Mental Challenged in Springhill. Surviving are daughters, Katrina (Mrs. Marty Furlong), Kama, Amherst; Karry (Mrs. Tim Deveaux), Sherman, Tex.; son, David, Vancouver; three granddaughters; his former wife, Edna, Amherst. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, prayers 8 p.m. today, both in Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst. Funeral 10 a.m. Saturday in Nativity of Our Lady Roman Catholic Church, Rev. John L. Hayes officiating. Burial at a later date. Donations to Multiple Sclerosis Society or Amherst VON.
