Philip T. Doiron Shediac, Jan. 24 -
Little Cape on Saturday last lost one of its oldest and most highly esteemed residents in the passing of Philip T. Doiron who passed away after a short illness at the age of 72 years. The deceased was a prominent farmer of that district for years, and had made a wide circle of friends, who will mourn his passing. He leaves to mourn, his wife, (nee Isabel Duguay) two sons, Edward and Arthur, at home, four daughters, Mrs. Jacob Leger, Mrs. Alonzo Saint Peter, and Mrs. Odiass Ouellett, all of Little Cape, Mrs. Ella LeBlanc of Cape Bald, and one brother, Laurent T, Doiron, of Moncton, and two sisters, Mrs. Raymond Hebert, of Shediac, and Mrs. Genevieve Leger, of Little Cape. The funeral was held this morning from Saint Theresa's R.C. Church in Cape Bald with High mass of requiem at 9 o'clock, celebrated by Rev. Father Camile LeBlanc of Great Shemogue. The pallbearers were Jacob Leger, William Leger, Odias Ouellett, William Doiron, Aurel LeBlanc, and Leo Hebert. The large number attending the service attested to the high esteem in which the deceased was held.
