W. G. Arsenault Amherst (Special) -
The death of William G. Arsenault of 64 Hickman Street Amherst, formally of Upper Napan, occurred Thursday at the Highland View Hospital following a brief illness. He was 80. Born in Upper Napan, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Placide Arsenault. He was a former employee of Canada Car and Foundry Ltd., and a member of the Nativity of Our Lady Roman Catholic Church. His first wife, the former Nettie Gouchie of Napan and his second wife, the former Mary Leger, both died several years ago. He is survived by a sister Mrs. Nettie Noiles of Amherst and several nieces and nephews. The body is resting at Furlong's funeral home in Amherst. The funeral mass will be celebrated at the Nativity of Our Lady Roman Catholic Church in Amherst at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Entombment will be in the Amherst cmetery vault, to await burial in the St. Charles cemetery in the spring.
