Eloi J. Legere
LEOMINSTER -- Eloi J. Legere, 82, of 51 Douglas Ave., died Sunday, Dec. 14, in The Keystone Center.
He was born on April 21, 1921, in St. Anthony, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of Edmond and Exilda (LeBlanc) Legere.
Mr. Legere was a veteran of World War II having served in the Canadian Army. He worked for Legere Brother Carpentry and then went to work at Digital Corporation for 10 years as a circuit board assembler in Maynard, before retiring in 1983.
He was a member of St. Cecilia’s Parish.
Mr. Legere is survived by one son, Paul Legere of Leominster; three daughters, Rosemarie Marshall of Milford, N.H., Norma Armstrong of Leominster and Karen Houser of Price, Utah; four brothers, Malcolm Legere, Fred Legere, Donald Legere and Yvon Legere, all of Leominster; five sisters, Doris Legere, Lorraine Legere, Bertha Goguen, Emerise Girouard and Noella Roy, all of Canada; four grandchildren, Kyle Marshall, Heather Armstrong, Adam Houser and Bradley Legere. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Marie (Leger) Legere, who died in November 2000. He was also predeceased by a brother, Aurelle Legere who died in 1997, and a sister, Aldea LeBlanc who died in 1998.
LEGERE -- On Dec. 14, Eloi J. Legere, 82, of Leominster. The funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 19, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West St., Leominster, with a funeral Mass at noon in St. Cecilia’s Church, 168 Mechanic St., Leominster. Burial will be at St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours in the funeral home are today, Dec. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m.
