Albenie J. " Ben " Leger, 63, of Natick, formerly of Waltham, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at his home after a long illness.
He was the husband of Johanna R. (Brown) Leger.
Born and raised in St. Paul, New Brunswick, he was a son of Raymond Leger of New Brunswick and the late Margaret (Leger) Leger. He lived in Waltham for
25 years before moving to Natick 15 years ago.
Mr. Leger co-founded and operated Waltham Plastering. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Besides his wife and father, he is survived by his daughter, Sharon K.
McLaughlin and her husband Stephen of Nashua, N.H.; his sisters, Florine and her husband Leonard Petrie of Waltham, Edna and her husband Valmond Henry of Waltham, Emma and her husband Norman Bastarache of Marlborough, Alma Leger, Lorraine and her husband Gerald Gillette, Marie and her husband Donald Filmore, and Lori Boucher, all of New Brunswick, and his brothers, Leo Leger and his wife Delfina, Oscar Leger, Dennis Leger, and Leon Leger, all of New Brunswick, and Pierre Leger and his fiancee Lois of Waltham; his grandson Evan W. McLaughlin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Fred Leger, Freda Leger, Patricia Leger, Geraldine Leger, and Eloi Leger.
Services were held Nov. 21 from the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., Waltham.
A Mass of Christian burial followed at St. Patrick's Church, 44 East Central St., Natick.
