LEGER. Sylvain Leger, 76, of West Hartford, husband of Nora (McNevin) Leger, died Friday (Nov. 1, 1996) at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Born in St. Paul, New Brunswick, Canada, son of the late Gilbert and Arzelie Leger, he had lived in West Hartford for 31 years. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 20 years by the Hartford Board of Education as a carpenter, and was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Church, West Hartford. Besides his wife of 52 years, he leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and John McMullen of Wethersfield; grandchildren, Kelly and her husband Michael, Michelle and her son, Patrick, all of Wethersfield; five sisters, Ella and Dora Leger, of West Hartford, Ida, Lorraine and Denise, all in Canada. He also leaves many nieces and nephews, here and in Canada. The funeral is Monday, 11 a.m., from the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a 11:30 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mark the Evangelist Church, West Hartford.
