The death of Edmond (Nig) Gould occurred yesterday in hospital at East Saint John following a lenghthy period of failing health. He was 43 years of age. A native of Moncton, the late Mr. Gould was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis D. Gould, 41 Harris Avenue. He was a former employee of the C.N.R. Shops. The late Mr. Gould was a well known athlete in earlier years and a member of a prominent hockey family, his brother being the Fred (Fatty) Gould who starred with Moncton Senior hockey teams in the early 20's. Two other brothers, Yvon and Gerald, also were well known in junior and senior hockey competition a decade ago. He is survived by his parents, three brothers, Yvon and Emile of this city, and Gerald of Dartmouth. N.S., and four sisters, Miss Matilda Gould, Mrs. Paradis and Mrs. Gillis Leger, all of this city, Mrs. F.A. Gaudet of Halifax. The remains are resting at the Tuttle Brothers slumber rooms, and funeral will be held from Assumption Cathedral Saturday morning at 9 o'clock.
