Mrs. N. Vautour Amherst (Special) -
The death of Mrs. Leonie Vautour, wife of Napoleon Vautour of 6 Stanley Street, Amherst, N.S., and formerly of Cap Pele, occurred Friday in the Highland View Hospital, Amherst, following an illness of three days. She was 89. Born in Cap Pele, she was a daughter of the late Pacifique and Genevieve (Cormier) Leger. A resident of Amherst for 29 years, she was a member of the St. Anne Society. Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Bazil Cormier (Melandie), Mrs. Camille Cormier (Deluina) both of Bas Cap Pele, Mrs. Camille Bourque (Aldea) of Amherst, N.S.; three sons, Henry of St. Anselme, Gerald of Bas Cap Pele, Aimee of Amherst N.S., 90 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grand children. She was the last survivor of her immediate family and is survived by five generations. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, Shediac. The funeral mass will be celebrated today (Monday) at 10 a.m. in the Cap Pele Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Cap Pele Roman Catholic cemetery.
