COCAGNE, NB - Mme. Irène Surette, 88, wife of Patrick Surette, of Cocagne, NB, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2005 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, after a brief illness. Born on January 17, 1916 in Grande-Digue, NB, she was the daughter of the late Willie Hébert and Elizabeth Léger. She was a housewife and attended Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church, Cocagne. Survived by her husband, Patrick Surette of Cocagne; five daughters, Jeannita Doughty (Cyril) of Kirkland, PQ, Murielle Deveau (Clarence) of Dieppe, Claudette McNeil of Chateaugay, PQ, Jacqueline Hyanes (Victor) of Welsford, NB, Pauline Surette of Cocagne; one son, Normand (Gilberte) of Shediac Bridge; sister, Emerise Surette (René) of Cocagne; brother, Amédée Hébert of Saint-Jean; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one son, Eudore; one sister, Sarah; and one brother, Edgar. Resting at Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne on Monday, January 17, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, and Tuesday from 1 to 1:45 pm. Funeral Service will be at Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements in care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
