Joseph Arsine Legere
Burlington, Ont. - Joseph Arsine Legere, 78, of Burlington, Ontario, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 4, 1995. He was the son of the late Patrick and Henrietta Legere, formerly of New Brunswick. He was a retired Custodian at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic School and Church. He was beloved husband and best friend of Ida (Calzonetti) Legere; loving father of June Margaret Collins, Diane Finch, Glen Legere and his wife Susan, all of Burlington, Ont.; cherished papa of Candice, Jeremy, Jennifer, Chris, Amber, Heather and Katie; dear brother of Edmund and his wife Margaret of Burlington, Ont., and Christina Turner of Port Elgin. He was predeceased by one brother, Harvey; three sisters, Albena Legere, Louise Niles and O'dell Noonan, all formerly of New Brunswick. Resting at Smith's Furneral Home, 485 Brant Street, Burlington, Ont., (905-632-3333) with visiting hours Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Vigil for Mr. Legere will be at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 287 Plains Road East, Burlington, Ont., on Wednesday, March 8, 1995 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington, Ont.
