Cap Pele (Special) - Emile Bourque, 83, of Villa Providence, Shediac, and formerly of Moncton, died Wednesday at the residence after a short illness. Born in Cap Pele, he was a son of the late Hypolite and Roseanna (Downing) Bourque. A firefighter with the Department of National Defence, he retired in 1970 after 20 years service. He served in England and France during the Second World War and a member of Cap Pele Branch, royal Canadian Legion. He is survived by his wife, the former Yvonne Leger of Shediac; a daughter, Mrs. Emile LeBlanc (Bertha) of Cap Pele; a son, Yvon of Shediac Bridge; a brother, Leo of Shediac; 19 grand-children and 11 great-grandchildren. A brother, Albert, died previously. The body is at St. Therese d'Avilla Roman Catholic Church, Cap Pele, where funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Cap Pele parish cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Frenette's Funeral Home, Shediac.
