1921 – 2000
Mrs. Eloise Sawyer, 78, wife of the late Bernard Sawyer of Cape Breton Road, Moncton, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Wednesday, February 2, 2000.
Born in St. Paul on March 9, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Albénie Léger and the late Rose-Anna Léger.
She is survived by ten daughters, Bernice LeBlanc (Abel) and Jeannette Hébert (Emery) of Moncton, Rose-Marie Blockwell (Bill) and Patricia Berry of Windsor, Ont., Edna Phiskas (Nick) of Vancouver, BC, Pricilla Saulnier and Anita Carson (Bernard) of Dieppe, Camilla Pimentel (Carlos) of Cape Breton Road, Rose Anne Savoie (Onile) of MacDougal Settlement and Brenda Sawyer of Moncton; four sons, Raymond of Alberta, Yvon (Florida) and Paul of Moncton, Gerald (Gail) of McKee Mills; two brothers, Raymond Léger (Marguerite) of St. Paul and Lionel Leger (Beatrice) of St. Antoine; 35 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard (1978); a daughter, Camilla; a sister, Florine; five brothers, Philibert, Johnnie, Leandre, Freddie and Emery Léger.
Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 88 Church St., Moncton (858-1900). Visitation on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Resting in St. Paul Slumber Room on Saturday from 10 am until time of funeral. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 5, 2000, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, St. Paul. Interment in the Parish Cemetery.
