GRANDE-DIGUE, NB - Raymond Léger, 87, widowed from the late Marguerite Léger (2000), of Résidence Famille Doucet, Grande-Digue, NB and formerly of Saint-Paul de Kent, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB on Tuesday, March 4, 2003 after a lengthy illness. Born on November 17, 1915 in Fitshburg, Mass. USA, he was the son of the late Albinie Léger and Rosanne Belliveau. He was a farmer, lumberman and attended Saint-Paul de Kent Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by six daughters, Florine Pitre (Léonard), Edna Henri (Valmond), all of Waltham, Mass., Emma Bastarache (Normand) of Marlboro, Mass., Lorraine Jaillet (Gérald) of Bouctouche, Marie Fillmore (Donnie) of Claireville, Alma Léger of Cocagne; five sons, Léo (Delcina), Léandre, Denis, Laurie Boucher, all of Saint-Paul de Kent, Pierre (Lois) of Waltham, Mass.; one brother, Léonel (Béatrice) of Saint-Antoine, NB; 22 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four sons, Alfred, Ben, Eloi, Oscar; three daughters, Alfreda, Géraldine, Patsy; one grandchild, Donald; and one great grandchild, Timmy. Resting at Saint-Paul de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room with visitation on Wednesday, March 5 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Saint-Paul de Kent Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, March 6, 2003 at 7:00 pm. Interment in the Parish Cemetery.
