David Léger
ST- PAUL DE KENT - David Léger, 86, of Bonsecour, St- Paul de Kent, passed away at his residence on Saturday, November 25, 1995 after a sudden illness.
Born in St- Paul de Kent, he was the son of the late Ferdinand and Suzanne (Geneau) Léger. A lumberman until retirement, he attended St- Paul de Kent Roman Catholic Church, St- Paul de Kent. A veteran, he served in England with the Canadian Army during World War II from 1942 to 1945.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gertrude (Gertie) (Whalen) Léger of St- Paul de Kent; seven daughters, Joyce Cormier of Fremont, N.H., USA, Rira Brennan and Pauline Léger, Annette (Herbie Peters), ail of St- Paul de Kent, Evelyn Gallant of Belmont, Mass., USA, Lilianne Jones of Claireville, Kent Co., Jeannine (André Cormier) of Coal Branch; five sons, Armand (Béatrice), Jimmy, Paul-Emile (Gloria), Ernest, Alcide (Diane), ail of St- Paul de Kent; two sisters, Helene Bernier and Maria Silliphant, both of Saint John; three brothers, Johnny (Rose) of St- Paul de Kent, Désiré of Coal Branch, Gilbert of Chipman; 23 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Emma; one brother, Arcade.
Resting at St-Paul de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, St- Paul de Kent, with visiting hours on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul de Kent Roman Catholic Church, St- Paul de Kent on Monday, November 27, 1995 at 4 p.m. Interment in Parish Cemetery.
