Florine Vautour

Florine Vautour, 89, wife of the late Gérald N. Vautour, of Cap-Pelé passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, August 24, 2006 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born in Aboujagane, she was the daughter of the late Patrick Melanson and the late Basilice Léger. She was employed with Emile J. Bourque Fisheries (Westmorland Fisheries) prior to her retirement. Florine will be greatly missed by her loving family, eight daughters, Rose-Aimée Doiron (Léandre) of Grand-Barachois, Noëlla Vautour (Bernard) of Trois-Ruisseaux, Georgette LeBlanc (Albert), Lydia Cormier (France) and Thérèse Vautour (Régis) all of Cap-Pelé, Alvida Tucker (Clayton) of Newfoundland, Géralda Richard (Julien) of Petit-Cap, Janice Petitpas (Françis) of Haute-Aboujagane; two sons: Oscar (late Simonne Huet) of Ottawa, ON and Normand (Emilia) of Cap-Pelé; two sisters, Sr. Rosée Melanson, p.s.s.f. of Sherbrooke, QC, Alvida Robichaud (Raymond) of Amherst, N. S.; one daughter in law Noëlla Vautour of Cap-Pelé; 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Gérald N. Vautour (2003); three sisters, Eva, Évangeline, Philomène and two brothers, Ephrème and Jude Melanson. Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Friday, August 25, 2006 from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Saturday, August 26, 2006 from 9:30a.m. until time of departure at 10:10a.m. The funeral mass will be held at 10:30a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at Ste. Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap-Pelé. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
