Eric Poirier, 69, of Carlyle Street, Moncton, died Monday on arrival at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born in Rogersville, he was a son of the late Narcisse and Emma (Hebert) Poirier. He was a retired self-employed barber and attended Assumption Cathedral. He is survived by his wife, the former Lina Leger; a son, Jean of Moncton; five sisters, Mrs. Antoine Thebeau (Marie), Mrs. Armand Johnson (Anita) and Mrs. Bob Leonard (Bertha), all of Gardiner, Mass., Flora of Worcester, Mass., and Mrs. Telex Richard (Beatrice) of Rogersville; two brothers, Albert of Gardiner, Mass., and Louis of Worcester Mass.; two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The body is at Frenette's Funeral Home, Moncton. Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at Assumption Cathedral. Burial will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Dieppe.
